What is the Blimp Analytics service?
Blimp Analytics is our people flow monitoring service, consisting of a Head-Counter (sensor) and an Audience Platform (cloud software).
What is the Head-Counter?
The Head-Counter is a sensor capable of detecting in real time some aggregated and statistical data relating to the people within its range of action. In its standard version it is capable of detecting individuals up to 60 meters away.
What is Audience Platform?
The Audience Platform is software dedicated to the visualization and analysis of data measured via Head-Counter.
Does the Blimp Analytics service acquire personal data?
Yes, to obtain statistical data, the Blimp Analytics service acquires, via Head-Counter sensors, images of individuals passing within the radius of action. According to the legislation on the protection of personal data, images are configurable as personal data.
What is the legal basis of the processing for the Blimp Analytics Service?
The legal basis of the processing for the Blimp Analytics service is legitimate interest (art. 6 c. 1 letter f of the GDPR).
Does the Blimp Analytics service violate people's privacy?
No, the Blimp Analytics Service allows you to monitor flows of people from which we deduce general and statistical data without identifying individual individuals.
Does the Head-Counter save images or videos?
No, the images that are taken remain in the volatile memory of the device only for the time of processing by the algorithms and are promptly deleted as soon as the process is finished.
Does the Head-Counter send images to the cloud?
No, the images remain exclusively within the devices only for the time necessary to extrapolate the necessary statistical data (a few seconds). No image is sent for storage in the cloud.
