Anima is a venture studio that co-founds nature-inspired companies to scale the ecological and economic impact of biomimicry. What do we look for in projects ?
Our first filter is about bio-inspiration as our mission is to increase the number of bio-inspired ventures to show the way to a whole new generation of deeptech projects.
What do we look for project owners ?
Matching with the project owners is where we pay intention the most. Project owners will chose us as we chose them to become long-term partners.
Where do the projects come from ?
We are sourcing technologies developed in laboratories, design offices, by engineers, designers, pre-seed entrepreneurs or corporates. We don’t have any geographical frontiers and so does our network, so our scouting covers the entire world.
How involved is Anima in each venture?
Anima is deeply involved in each project, providing hands-on, strategic and financial support to founders in key areas like product development, design, strategy, go-to-market planning, branding, recruiting, and funding.
What does the Anima core team look like ?
We are entrepreneurs first. In each expertise that we deliver, from strategy to funding, through operations, company culture, product, design, branding and impact, we do it the entrepreneurial way, meaning that we focus on execution.
What is the equity spit ?
The studio has a dual role of : 1. Being a hands-on co-founder of each project and 2. Supporting the necessary costs to build the project until the created company raises VC funding. Anima gets à 25% share before raising VC funding.
