SUSTAIN is the UKRI AI Centre for Doctoral Training in Sustainable Understandable agri-food Systems Transformed by Artificial INtelligence. It is a collaborative effort between the Universities of Lincoln, Aberdeen, Queen’s Belfast, and Strathclyde. The center focuses on the application of AI to address challenges in sustainable agri-food. SUSTAIN empowers the next generation of AI scientists to invent, develop, and deploy technologies that are co-created with growers and agri-food practitioners. It facilitates meaningful partnerships between academics and industry, investing in stakeholder-driven innovation to shape the future of food production. The center offers 4-Year PhD Studentships for those aspiring to become AI scientists in this vital sector.
