What are the advantages of LiDAR in comparison to Cameras and Radar?
Cameras are passive sensors excelling at capturing color data, ideal for tasks like FaceID and license plate reading, but lacking depth or spatial data. Radar and LiDAR are active, function in all lighting, detect depth and ensure privacy. LiDAR surpasses Radar in accuracy and resolution using laser light. It's not only possible but often necessary for best results and budget optimization. Dozens of LiDAR manufacturers exist, so we ensure software compatibility with most hardware solutions. We even built the first multi-vendor LiDAR Simulator.
