The IEEE Low-Power Computer Vision Challenge (LPCVC) is an annual competition that began in 2015. It addresses the growing need for energy-efficient computer vision technologies, especially as complex models demand more computational and storage resources. The challenge aims to improve the energy efficiency of computer vision solutions for systems with stringent resource constraints. The associated workshop discusses the state-of-the-art in low-power computer vision, challenges, promising technologies, data acquisition methods, benchmarks, and metrics. The 2025 challenge featured tracks on image classification under various lighting conditions, open-vocabulary segmentation with text prompts, and monocular depth estimation. LPCVC is supported by various sponsors like Qualcomm, Nvidia, Google, and PyTorch, fostering innovation in efficient vision solutions.
