What is Carbon Dioxide (CO2)?
Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is a greenhouse gas that absorbs radiation and prevents heat from escaping our atmosphere. A natural amount of CO2 plays a crucial part in the earth’s ecosystem. Human activities are causing an excess of CO2, damaging the environment.
Why does CO2 matter?
High amounts of atmospheric CO2 collects and stores heat, disrupting weather patterns and causing global temperatures to rise which is damaging to the environment.
Why is Karai focused on driving?
The average person in the UK has a carbon footprint of 10 tonnes of CO2 a year which includes 2 tonnes from travel. For those who drive 10,000 miles a year, this adds a further 4 tonnes of CO2. Through efficient driving we can reduce our emissions by up to 25%.
How can Karai help me reduce my carbon footprint (CO2) from driving?
There are three ways: Drive less, Drive more fuel-efficiently (Karai helps with this), and Offset carbon emissions (Karai helps with this).
