What is an AI Agent?
An AI (Artificial Intelligence) Agent is a piece of software, or a program, that can complete multi-step tasks and functions without human intervention. What does that all mean? Basically, an AI Agent is like ChatGPT on steroids. It's an AI-powered 'worker' that is capable of calling different tools, making decisions and working through more complex problems than, say, a single prompt to ChatGPT can return. Common characteristics that make AI Agents stand out from their underlying models (typically LLMs) include: - Decision making: You can describe the goal or direction, and your AI Agent is capable of making a plan, utilizing tools, and making decisions on the best path to get there; - Autonomous action: AI Agents are typically capable of acting without human intervention or being manually triggered for every task (like, say, chatting with ChatGPT). - Memory: AI Agents typically have a memory function that builds up over time, to improve their context and performance on tasks. This is still a relatively new field of technology, but AI Agents hold the promise of being powerful aides to businesses; and are expected to be one of the leading applications of AI for the rest of this decade.
What is an AI Agent platform?
An AI (Artificial Intelligence) Agent platform is an application or software program that lets its users create their own custom AI Agents. These platforms give their users the tools needed to construct AI Agents, things like: - 'Knowledge Bases': A way to store and add knowledge to individual AI Agents; - 'Instructions' or 'Skills': A way to give Agents specific toolkits and skills. These can be combined, or linked together in sequences like workflows; - 'History': An interface to track performance on past Jobs run by the Agent; - 'Scheduling': Methods for triggering the AI Agent. In Bizway, you can build AI Agents using the tools mentioned above; by adding Knowledge, giving access to Instruction modules, viewing each Agent's jobs history and setting them to run on defined schedules.
Is ChatGPT an AI Agent?
Not quite. AI Agents differ from generative AI tools, like ChatGPT, insofar as agents are able to act autonomously. There is an argument to be made that as ChatGPT introduces more flexible tool usage (such as allowing ChatGPT to use 'search', generate code and choose to make images) that it will become increasingly agent-like. But for the moment, ChatGPT falls into the category of generative AI, while platforms like Bizway let you build AI Agents that are capable of completing multi-step tasks autonomously.
Do I need to know how to code or understand APIs to use Bizway & build my own AI Agents?
Not at all. Bizway is a 100% no-code tool, that lets you build with simple lego blocks rather than needing to setup all the connections and requests yourself.
Can I upload files & business data to include in my AI Agents?
Yes, absolutely. First of all, Bizway supports some synced data sources like Google Analytics, Stripe, YouTube and Beehiiv, which means you can easily reference up to date data from these sources. For any other file, document or data you'd like to include, you can upload it as a new Doc, then reference that Doc in any Agent. For example, you might upload or copy your sales and orders data into a new doc called 'Sales Data', then include that document in a workflow where you ask your assistant to analyze your recent performance.
Why not just use ChatGPT?
For some tasks, ChatGPT might still be more convenient for you. But for many tasks that require a lot of background knowledge, detailed instructions, or multi-step instructions; and for tasks the require images, charts and other formats combined, Bizway makes things a whole lot easier and simpler. Also, because Bizway has your business information baked in as context, you'll notice that the responses you get are far more relevant, and higher quality, than just starting a new chat in ChatGPT.
Which model of GPT do you use in Bizway?
For almost all responses, Bizway uses either o1-mini or o1-preview, OpenAI's smartest and most capable model. For chat threads Bizway uses GPT-4o and GPT-4o-mini.
