Is my data secure?
Yes, security is our #1 priority. Recordings are encrypted in transit and at rest. Data is stored securely with trusted providers (AWS, DigitalOcean) adhering to rigorous privacy and security standards, ensuring your diary remains private.
Where is my data stored?
All recordings are encrypted and stored securely on Amazon AWS servers. Account data is on DigitalOcean. Both providers use bank-grade encryption, and access is restricted to comply with strict privacy standards.
Does OpenAI use my recordings to train their AI models?
No. We have a GDPR-compliant agreement with OpenAI that prohibits them from using your data to train their models. Transcriptions and analyses are processed securely and privately.
Can I export my data?
Yes, at any time, paid or free. You can export all audio, transcripts, images, and markdown directly to your email. A full diary PDF is also available for printing.
Is there a lifetime option instead of a subscription?
No. Our service has ongoing costs (hosting, analysis, maintenance), so a one-time payment is unsustainable. Subscriptions allow continuous investment in quality and support.
Who besides me can access my data?
Your entries are private. AudioDiary employees do not access recordings or transcripts unless legally required. Third-party providers (AWS, DigitalOcean) also follow strict protocols.
How do I permanently delete my data?
You can delete individual entries or your entire account within the app at any time.
What's included in the paid plan?
The paid plan includes 10x more recording time, super smart AI analysis, custom tagging, custom themes, dream analysis, 10 photo uploads per day, and more features yet to come!
Will my entries be used for ads or marketing?
Never. We do not sell, share, monetize, or use your journal entries for ads or marketing. Your recordings are and always will be strictly private, whether paid or free.
Can I disable the AI features?
The AI is core to AudioDiary's functionality, so it cannot be turned off. For non-AI journaling, we recommend using a stock voice recording app on your phone.
