Nothing happens when I click record. What should I do?
This problem occurs because you haven't given the app microphone access. Check your device's app settings (for native app) or browser settings (for web app) to enable microphone access.
The app seems to be taking too long to summarize. What should I do?
If the app takes too long, refresh the page. Then, click on the account icon (top left) and select 'Retry Transcription'. Pro tip: download the latest voice note before refreshing.
I upgraded to Prime but my account still shows as Free. Why?
Account upgrades sometimes take a minute. If it doesn't update, you might not have been signed in during the upgrade. Email hello@audiopen.ai for manual assistance.
Is there a native mobile app for AudioPen?
Yes, native mobile apps are available for both Android and iOS. You can find the download links on the AudioPen website.
If I purchase AudioPen Prime on the web, will it work on my other devices?
Yes, a single Prime account provides access to Prime features across all your devices, including the native app, web app, and Chrome Extension, by logging into the same account.
Can I upload audio files to AudioPen?
Yes, Prime users can upload up to 100 files every 4 weeks, with a maximum size of 100MB each.
Can I download the audio from my voice note?
Yes, Prime users can download audio. However, audio downloads are only available for a short period after note creation as they are deleted soon after.
Can I just type a note and ask AudioPen to summarise it?
Yes, if you are a Prime user, you can type a note and then use AudioPen to summarize it by clicking the button on the bottom right of your home screen.
Does the app work in multiple languages?
Yes, AudioPen understands most major global languages. You can also select the desired output language from a list in the settings menu.
What is the difference between folders and tags?
One note can have multiple tags but can only be in one folder. Folders offer a higher level of organization, while tags are used to filter related notes, especially those sharing common topics.
I recorded something but the transcription was incorrect or made no sense. Why?
This can happen due to interfering audio, trying to record audio from the same device, inactive wireless headset microphones, or interfering browser extensions/VPNs.
I just finished a long recording, but AudioPen only transcribed the first part. Why?
This occurs on phone web apps when the screen turns off, as most phones cut off browser mic access. Using the native app is recommended for a better experience.
What's your refund policy?
Refunds are possible within 30 days of purchase for Prime versions bought on the web or Google Play Store. For iOS App Store purchases, you must contact Apple for a refund.
Can I expense AudioPen Prime with my company?
