Nothing happens when I click record. What should I do?
This problem occurs because you haven't given the app microphone access. Check your phone's app settings (native app) or browser settings (web app/desktop) to grant microphone access.
The app seems to be taking too long to summarize. What should I do?
Refresh the page. Then, click the account icon (top left) and 'Retry Transcription'. Pro tip: download your latest voice note before refreshing to save audio.
I upgraded to Prime but my account still shows as Free. Why?
It may take a minute to upgrade, or you weren't signed in during purchase. Email hello@audiopen.ai or use the troubleshooting section for manual assistance.
Is there a native mobile app for AudioPen?
Yes, for both Android and iOS. You can find the download links on the AudioPen website at AudioPen.ai/native.
If I purchase AudioPen Prime on the web, will it work on my other devices?
Yes, a single Prime account can be accessed from all your devices (native app, web app, Chrome Extension) by logging into the same account.
Can I upload audio files to AudioPen?
Yes, if you're a Prime user. You can upload up to 100 files every 4 weeks, with a maximum size of 100MB each.
Can I download the audio from my voice note?
Yes, if you're a Prime user. Note that audio downloads are only available for a short while after creation as they are deleted soon after.
Can I just type a note and ask AudioPen to summarise it?
Yes, if you're a Prime user. Click the button on the bottom right of your home screen and start typing.
Does the app work in multiple languages?
Yes, AudioPen understands most major global languages. You can choose the output language in the settings. Request new languages via feedback or email hello@audiopen.ai.
What is the difference between folders and tags?
One note can have multiple tags, but only one folder. Folders are a higher level of organization; tags filter related notes, especially those with multiple common topics.
I recorded something but the transcription was incorrect or made no sense. Why?
Possible reasons include interfering audio, recording audio from the same device, inactive mic on wireless headsets, or interfering browser/VPN extensions. Pause other audio sources.
I just finished a long recording, but AudioPen only transcribed the first part. Why?
This occurs on phone web apps when the screen turns off, cutting mic access. Download the native app for a better experience with long recordings.
What's your refund policy?
Refunds are possible within 30 days for web or Google Play Store purchases; email hello@audiopen.ai. iOS App Store purchases require contacting Apple directly for refunds.
Can I expense AudioPen Prime with my company?
