AI Code Completion for Xcode enhances your development workflow by providing intelligent, context-aware code completion directly within Xcode. Users can choose between running various open-source models locally through Ollama (supporting DeepSeek Coder, Starcoder, Qwen, and more) or leveraging more powerful cloud-based models offering longer context windows. A key feature is its deep codebase context engine, which parses and indexes your local codebase to provide ultra-relevant suggestions. The tool emphasizes data privacy, with local processing for local models and a strict no-retention policy for code processed by cloud models. It aims to offer superior suggestions and greater model choice compared to Swift's built-in completion, especially for larger codebases. The cloud tier is currently free, with potential for paid tiers in the future. It is compatible with macOS 12 and later.

FAQs
How does CGFT handle my code data?
We take data security very seriously. When using local models, all processing happens on your machine. If you use our cloud-based models, we do not store or train on any of your code. If you want a custom model trained on your codebase, we can do that too. Hit us up at ft@cgft.io
Do I have to pay for the cloud models?
The cloud tier is free for now. We may introduce a paid tier in the future for more powerful models.
Why use this over Swift's built-in predictive code completion?
We index your codebase locally and use that to give the model extra context for better suggestions. Our cloud model is more robust & allows for longer context windows than XCode's model - which runs locally and hence more constrained. You also have greater choice of models you can use locally through Ollama
What models do you support?
We have a hosted cloud offering that's free for now. You can also use any OSS code model of your choice through Ollama.
Which Mac versions are supported?
Our extension is compatible with macOS 12 and later versions.
