How fast is the search?
Fast. Tests show ~100 hours of footage searched in ~0.2 seconds on various machines (MBP M1, Windows i5, Ryzen desktop). Performance is actively and constantly being improved by developers.
How long does the analysis take?
Analysis time depends on hardware and footage resolution. A MacBook M1 Pro analyzes ~15 minutes of footage in 1 minute. Optimizations are ongoing.
How does Jumper handle multi-channel audio?
Currently, Jumper analyzes audio only from the first channel with valid dialogue. A future update will enable analysis of all audio channels.
How do I use my license key on another computer?
Log in at getjumper.io with your license email. In the License Management portal, click the red trashcan under 'Device fingerprint' to sign out the active computer. Then apply your key elsewhere.
How can I cancel my subscription?

No, absolutely no part of your footage or the analyzed data is uploaded. All analysis is performed locally on your device and remains on your computer to ensure privacy.
Does Jumper require an Internet connection?
Jumper requires an Internet connection only for initial license verification. Once verified, the software operates fully offline, allowing you to work anywhere, anytime without connectivity.
What information is sent to Jumper's servers?
Only licensing information and crash reports are sent to Jumper's servers. Nothing related to your footage or personal data ever leaves your computer. See our Privacy Policy for details.
What firewall settings do I need?
Jumper utilizes Keygen for license management, so you should ensure that the `api.keygen.sh` domain is whitelisted within your firewall settings to allow proper function.
Does the analysis create any significant amount of data the disk?
Jumper generates Analysis files, roughly 1MB for every 10 seconds of footage. The exact size varies based on resolution and frame rate. These files stay local on your disk.
Can I transfer the Analysis Files to another editor’s machine?
Yes, on macOS, open Terminal, navigate to `~/Library/Application Support/`, and copy the `jumper-cache` folder to the same location on the recipient's machine. Instructions available in FAQ.
Will copying the cache overwrite existing files on the receiving machine?
No, copying the Analysis Files is an additive process. It will integrate new analysis data without overwriting or deleting any existing files on the receiving machine.
Can I change the location of my Analysis Files folder?
Yes, you have the flexibility to change the storage location of your Analysis Files folder. This setting can be easily adjusted within the 'Settings' tab of the Jumper application.
