About
Jumper is a powerful AI-driven extension for major video editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and Avid Media Composer. It functions as a search engine for your footage, allowing users to instantly find any visual or spoken content using keywords, without needing pre-existing tags. Key features include searching for similar clips with 'Find Similar', matching footage to a source monitor frame, and excluding unwanted results. Jumper supports multicam and synced clips, and offers multilingual search in 111 languages for both visual and instant speech searches. The tool operates locally on your device ensuring maximum speed, privacy (footage never leaves your device), and offline functionality. Critically, Jumper emphasizes that it does not train AI on user media or store any footage data.

FAQs
How fast is the search?
It's fast. Tests show searching through 100 hours of footage takes about 0.2 seconds on various machines (MBP M1, Windows i5, Ryzen desktop). Performance is continually being improved.
How long does the processing take?
It depends on your hardware setup and the resolution of the footage. A MacBook M1 Pro can process around 15 minutes of footage in 1 minute.
How does Jumper handle multi-channel audio?
Currently Jumper only processes audio from the first channel that has valid dialogue. In a future update, Jumper will process all audio channels.
How do I use my license key on another computer?
Log in at getjumper.io, go to the License Management portal, find your license, and click the red trashcan under 'Device fingerprint' to sign out the active computer. Then, apply your license key on the new computer.
How can I cancel my subscription?
You can easily cancel your subscription by clicking Log in at the top of the main website here: https://getjumper.io/account.
Is any part of my footage uploaded during processing?
No, your footage or its processed data is never uploaded. All processing is done locally on your computer, ensuring maximum privacy and data stays on your device.
Does Jumper require an Internet connection?
Jumper only requires an Internet connection for initial license verification. Once verified, the software runs completely offline, allowing you to work anywhere, anytime without internet access.
What information is sent to Jumper's servers?
Only licensing information and crash reports are sent. Nothing related to you or your footage ever leaves your computer, ensuring your privacy.
Does the analysis create any significant amount of data the disk?
Yes, Jumper generates Analysis files. The size varies, but as a rough guide, it's about 1MB for every 10 seconds of footage processed.
Can I transfer the Analysis Files to another editor’s machine?
Yes, on macOS, open Terminal.app, navigate to ~/Library/Application Support/, and copy the jumper-cache folder to the same location on the other machine.
Can I change the location of my Analysis Files folder?
Yes, you can easily change the location of your Analysis Files Folder under the Settings tab within the Jumper application.
Why does Jumper need Accessibility permission?
This is primarily for Final Cut Pro due to its limited native API. Jumper uses macOS's Accessibility API to simulate actions and control FCP, like Automator or BetterTouchTool.
Why does Jumper need Screen Recording permission?
Jumper does not record video. For Final Cut Pro, it uses Apple's screen APIs to read information like window titles and FCP's playback status, without saving or sending anything.
Why does Jumper ask for Full Disk Access?
This permission is needed to read Final Cut Pro's preferences and command set from your Library folder. It's read-only, stays local, and is necessary to adapt to your customized setup.
Do I need to give all these permissions?
These permissions are only required if you are using Jumper with Final Cut Pro. If you are using Jumper with Premiere, Resolve, or Avid, you do not need to grant them.
