Senior Construction Purchasing Agent I, MILCON

Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience Requirements:
8+ years of progressive experience in construction procurement, purchasing, or contract administration, preferably with MILCON or other federal construction projects
Deep working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, UFC, UFGS, and USACE/NAVFAC procurement and construction standards
Proven experience developing and managing subcontracts for complex, schedule-driven federal projects
Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scopes of work, and cost structures
Demonstrated ability to negotiate, execute, and manage subcontracts under tight schedule constraints
Other Requirements:
Eligibility for security clearance (Secret or higher depending on project)
Willingness to (occasionally) travel to project sites and supplier facilities as required
Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills with a high attention to detail
Prior experience on USACE/NAVFAC-administered MILCON or federal projects
Experience building or managing procurement workflows within a Design-Build or self-performing GC environment
Strong understanding of cost accounting standards, contract compliance, and supplier diversity programs
Familiarity with advanced construction technologies
Certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), NCMA CPCM/CFCM, or PMP are preferred
Track record of building and managing vendor networks for specialized federal construction trades
Proficiency with procurement or project management platforms such as Procore, or similar systems
Responsibilities:
Lead the full procurement lifecycle for MILCON projects, including trade outreach, bidding, bid leveling, and subcontract execution
Develop and issue RFPs, bid packages, and scopes of work in compliance with FAR, DFARS, and DoD subcontracting regulations
Ensure all subcontract agreements include the appropriate government contract flow-down clauses, reporting requirements, and compliance provisions
Evaluate trade partner bids for completeness, cost competitiveness, and compliance with technical and contractual requirements
Manage the flow-down implementation of all government contract requirements—including reporting, security, and quality control obligations—into ICON’s subcontracting framework

Mechanical Engineer II, Sustaining

Education Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Experience Requirements:
5+ years of professional work experience as a Mechanical Engineer
Demonstrated knowledge of component manufacturing processes (including machining, rapid prototyping, etc.)
Demonstrated experience leading large system development projects
Proficiency in using parametric solid modeling and CAD software to design and document parts and assemblies
SolidWorks and PDM experience are required
Other Requirements:
Familiarity with making drawings and applicable drawing and tolerancing standards
Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills and reasoning ability
Adept at communicating in a collaborative team environment and seeking optimum solutions with other team members
Knowledge of the AGILE SCRUM methodology of project management
A service-oriented attitude when in a support role
Ability to prioritize and stay cool in a dynamic start-up environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Must be prepared to work, in part, in extreme environments: temps > 100 degrees or below freezing, sun, rain, mud, lack of electricity, etc.
Must be able to travel 4+ weeks per year internationally
Previous automation industry experience
Previous manufacturing and quality experience
Previous start-up experience, and/or a resourceful innovative nature with an ability to streamline or develop efficient processes
Professional experience with thermal and mechanical FEA, and topological optimization. Ansys or Solidworks simulation
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, and the ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems
Ability to create engineering drawings and technical documentation
Industrial safety system experience
A hunger for learning and personal growth
Responsibilities:
Update existing and create new engineering drawings and documentation
Update and manage Bill of Materials
Handle Engineering Change Orders, updating documentation and communicating to Manufacturing and Supply Chain teams
Execute and build process for QA/QC of mechanical systems in the manufacturing process
Create design solutions with excellent engineering and documentation processes
