SkimIt.ai allows users to receive AI-generated summaries of articles simply by emailing the article link to go@SkimIt.ai. Users can expect a summarized email response within approximately 10 minutes. The tool is powered by OpenAI's GPT technology but is noted for its entertainment purpose, with no guarantee of accuracy in the generated content. SkimIt retains only necessary data, such as email addresses and article links, for processing requests.

This tool isn't working: Help!
If you see something, say something. You can reach us at tldrtool@gmail.com. Sometimes our servers are a little slow. It may take up to 15 mins to receive your summary email. It might also be in your spam folder.
What is the correct format of the email?
We read the first URL link in the body of your email. So, the subject and other contents do not matter.
How (and why) would I cc my friends?
If you see an article your friend might enjoy, you can send the article and cc your friends. They will receive the original article and the helpful summary.
What's powering the AI wizardry behind the scenes?
Our AI processing is powered by OpenAI's GPT technology.
Is the AI-generated content accurate? Can I rely on it?
Absolutely not. This is just a fun project, and we accept no responsibility for the content generated by the AI.
How do you store my data?
For each request, we retain your email address, any CC'd addresses, and the first URL in the email. We do not retain other email content.
Why did you build this?
SkimIt is a hackathon project by Karthik and Alex to practice AI text processing and email handling, motivated by their passion for startups.
