It learns from your past sent emails to adapt to your tone and can also be trained on specific information from documents or URLs, intelligently incorporating it into replies. Available as a browser extension for Chrome, Firefox, and Edge, Ellie seamlessly integrates into your workflow with Gmail, Outlook web, and Fastmail. Does Ellie read my emails?
No, Ellie doesn't access your emails. It reads recent replies for context and uses example data to match your style. We don't store or share your email data, ensuring privacy.
What browsers are supported?
Ellie is available as a Chrome, Firefox, or Edge Extension.
What email clients are supported?
Gmail, Outlook, and Fastmail are fully supported. A toolbar popup can be used for other clients like Apple Mail. Full support for more web-based clients is coming soon.
Why is there a limit on the number of replies?
Training AI and generating content is costly for our small, unfunded team. Paid plans offer more replies to cover operational expenses.
Why did you make this?
We made Ellie to help users reclaim control over their inboxes from overwhelming emails, automate replies, and assist with reply anxiety, dyslexia, or language skills.
How does teaching Ellie new information work?
You can provide Ellie with documents or URLs. It reads/crawls the content and intelligently includes relevant learned information in its replies when applicable.
I don't want you to read my private emails!
Your email replies are only used by Ellie to generate a response. We don't store your email data and promise never to share or sell it, ensuring privacy as independent developers.
Can I use Ellie to write cold-emails?
No. Ellie will only write replies to emails, not cold emails.
What is a reply?
Each plan grants a specific number of replies, indicating how many emails Ellie can write for you per day.
What's the difference between the AI models?
All plans now use the same highly capable and optimized Intelligent AI model for generating replies.
What is Knowledge Base Training?
Casual offers Basic KB Training for small custom info. Business & Professional include Advanced KB Training for extensive customization, supporting PDF/document uploads and website scraping.
How does Ellie work with my email?
Casual works as a browser extension. Business & Professional offer direct inbox integration (Gmail/Outlook) or the extension.
What are "Auto-draft" and "Auto-categorise" features?
Available on Business and Professional plans, these features automatically draft replies and categorize emails. Users always have final control; Ellie never sends emails without approval.
How many email accounts can I connect?
Business allows 1 account per user; Professional allows up to 3 accounts per user.
What are roles for?
Roles allow assigning Ellie different company positions with unique training sets (e.g., Customer Support Specialist using help docs), perfect for users performing various tasks.
